“13 Assassins” (2011) directed by Takashi Miike. This film is amazing!!! I can’t remember the last time I was on the edge of my seat for a movie. I can’t remember the last time the lines were said by an actor that made made say “oh shit that just gave me chills.” And made me want to do something for glory and honor of my craft/trade.
The story is of “13 Assassins” tells of a evil lord that threatens peace and these 13 samurais that are sent to assassinate him. The film builds beautifully starting with the evil deeds of the Lord and the assibaly of the 13. Which leads to a climatic conclusion of a kick ass samurai battle. 13 against 200.
A must for all samurai film fans and just plain good filmmaking.
